Maryville University Athletics

Torrey Welsch was a four-time first-team All-SLIAC selection for the men’s golf team. He was both the SLIAC Player of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year in during 1998-99. Welsch helped the Saints win three consecutive conference titles. In 2001, he paced the squad to its first appearance in the NCAA Men’s Golf Tournament. Welsch was the team’s top finisher and placed 78th amongst all individual golfers. His 79.53 career stroke average still ranks fifth all-time at Maryville.
