Despite a pin by Maryville’s Joey Moorhouse, Lindenwood defeated the Saints 27-15 in a wrestling meet Wednesday evening in Moloney Arena. The Saints were shorthanded and were open in two weight classes.
 
At 125, Brandon Oshiro made a late rally but came up short to Lindenwood’s Blayne Shockley. Terrell McKinney got the Saints into the victory column with a late point to edge Michael Caldwell in the 133-pound classification. Maryville was open at 141, but Keenan Hagerty dominated his match to win 9-3. Joey Moorhouse piled up the points early in his match against Daniel Briet and pinned his LU foe at the 2:28 mark. Clayton McFarlane edged MU’s Brett Rosedale 1-0, the Saints were open at 174, and Lindenwood claimed the win at 184. At the 197-pound classification, Maryville’s Matt Baker registered two early take downs and cruised to a 6-3 win. In the Heavyweight class, Lindenwood closed out the dual meet with a pin.
