Mississippi College Invite Results

The Maryville University men’s golf team shot a tournament-low 311 in the second round and rallied to win the Mississippi College Invitational Tournament at Black Bear Golf Course in Delhi, La. The Saints trailed Mary Hardin-Baylor by 10 shots after day one but Maryville put on a charge on day two to pick up the win in the 12-team field. The Saints total of 630 was four strokes ahead of second-place squad Texas Lutheran.

Jack McKinney led the way for the Saints as he shot matching 76s on both days and tied for second overall. His 152 total was just three shots back of Chris Hyten from Texas Lutheran who claimed individual medalist honors at 149. Also registering top 10s for Maryville were Dustin Harris and Nick Lees who both shot 154 to tie for sixth place overall. Alex Donell also finished inside the top 20 for the Saints.
