Day One scores at GLVC Tournament

In heavy winds and difficult scoring conditions to open day one of the Great Lakes Valley Conference men’s golf tournament, the Saints are tenth in the team standings. Maryville carded a 327 and is just one stroke behind Quincy and Rockhurst who are tied for eighth place. The tournament is being played at the Country Club of Paducah in Paducah, Ky. A Robert Trent Jones design, the layout is playing at 6,879 yards.
 
Nick Lees led the Saints in scoring after shooting a 77 to tie for fourth individually. Dustin Harris fired a round of 80, good for 18th among individuals. Alex Doneff, Michael Fowler and Jack McKinney also carded scores for the Saints.
 
Northern Kentucky leads the team competition with 312 as its top three golfers all finished with scores on 77.UIS’s Mike McKillips and Lewis’ Brandon White are tied for the individual medalist honors at 74.
