Women’s Tennis Claims Doubles & Consolation Victories

Saints Chelsea Travis and Marie Schaefer won the Doubles “A” flight at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Tournament at Forest Park this past weekend.  In their first match, Travis and Schaefer beat Kelly Adams and Sarah Corbitt of Principia College 8-4.  They advanced to play St. Louis College of Pharmacy’s Georgiana Boeckmann and Carmen Stach.  Travis and Schaefer beat the Eutectics in an 8-0 win.  They went on to win the flight with a 8-4 victory over Lindenwood-Belleville’s Jordyn Guzman and Katie Dickey.
 
Chelsea Travis won the consolation Singles “A” flight 6-1, 6-1 over Lindenwood-Belleville’s Jordyn Guzman.  Lauren Land won the consolation Singles “B” flight 6-3, 6-2 over St. Louis College of Pharmacy’s Georgiana Boeckmann.
