Shelby Miller helped the women’s basketball team win its first Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament game with 23 points, four assists and three rebounds. The freshman guard hit 10 free throws and three 3-pointers in a 75-61 victory over Missouri-St. Louis. Maryville has advanced to the quarterfinals of the GLVC Tournament and play Northern Kentucky. Earlier in the week, in a regular-season game played at UMSL, Miller finished with 16 points.
