Keenan Hagerty earned the Outstanding Wrestler Award at the UCM Open as he had three falls and was undefeated on the day with a perfect 5-0 mark at 149 pounds. He picked up his first fall in just 1:42, then pinned his second foe 2:40 into the contest. In his third match, Hagerty notched his third straight fall at the 6:47 mark. In the championship semifinals, he posted a 7-4 win over Division I opponent Zach Witte of Northern Iowa. In the title match, Hagerty recorded a 9-6 win over defending national champion and the No. 1 ranked wrestler in the weight class Frank Cagnina to snap his 34-match winning streak.
