Mike Wilkinson hit .300, drove in eight runs with two doubles and a home run. In addition, he played a critical role in the Saints turning the first triple play in program history. Wilkinson had three hits, walked twice, scored two runs and drove in three runs in a doubleheader against UMSL. In the opener against Missouri S&T, he had two hits, including a double, scored and had one RBI. In the finale against the Miners, Wilkinson smashed a homer and had four RBIs. With runners at the corners in the top of the first inning of the first Missouri S&T game, he snared a line drive for the first out, tagged first base for the second out and threw out a runner at third base for Maryville’s first triple play.
