Amanda Wiechens recorded a hat trick to pace the women’s soccer team to a 9-2 win in the season opener against Oakland City. She scored in the second minute of play and recorded her second goal in the 15th minute. Wiechens completed the hat trick as she converted from the penalty spot in the 60th-minute of action. The hat trick is the first by a Saints player since October 22, 2008.
