Freshman goalie Christian Kjaersgaard posted back-to-back shutout victories as the Saints recorded consecutive 1-0 overtime road wins. Friday at Lewis, he made one save and did not allow a goal over the 97:13 minutes until the Saints scored the game winner. At Wisconsin-Parkside Sunday, Kjaersgaard came up with three saves and blanked the Rangers for 93:31 before Maryville netted the winner. The victories were the first ever wins for the Saints over both Lewis and Wisconsin-Parkside. Over 190:44 minutes last week, he faced 22 shots, recorded four saves and did not allow a goal. Behind Kjaersgaard’s netminding, the Saints won two straight overtime games for the first time in program history. The last time Maryville posted back-to-back road victories was Oct. 6 and Oct. 13, 2007, at Greenville and Eureka.
