Donnell Walker won the heavyweight division as he went 4-0 to take first at the Northern Iowa Open. After a bye, he opened with a 10-5 win. In the quarterfinals, Walker was victorious as he notched a fall at the 1:58 mark. Going against Jake McKiernan of SIU Edwardsville, Walker recorded a 7-3 victory. In the championship match, he squared off against JJ Everard of host Northern Iowa. Walker notched his second straight win over a DI wrestler, this time by a 6-5 count to win the weight class.
