Jodi Klott won the women's javelin to become the 2016 Great Lakes Valley Conference Champion in the event. Klott claimed the javelin title with a throw of 37.53 to best the field of 24 throwers. Her best throw was her first of the day and won the event by nearly three meters. Klott had four throws that were all better than the second-place finisher.
