John Anderson took first place in the 174-pound weight class at the Jim Koch Wisconsin Open with a 5-0 record. He started his day with a 12-2 major, and had a fall at 2:04 in his second match. Anderson defeated No. 8 ranked Lukas Poloncic by a decision, and won via an injury default in the semis. He won the championship with a thrilling 2-1 decision in tiebreak 1 over Division I Austin Yant of Northern Iowa.
