Matt Baker won his second consecutive Super Regional title with four victories in Waterloo, Iowa, and advanced to the NCAA National Tournament. As the No. 2 seed in the 197-pound classification, he started his day with a fall and a major decision. Baker then posted a 3-2 in the semis. In the finals, he squared off against top-seed Carl Broghammer from Upper Iowa. Baker scored an early takedown for a 2-0 lead after one period. After Broghammer tallied a point on an escape in the second period, Baker did the same in the third period and held on for the 3-1 victory. Baker also won a regional title in 2012.
