Lindenwood results in PDF

In a battle of nationally ranked wrestling squads, No. 7 Lindenwood downed host No. 16 Maryvillle by a 32-7 count Wednesday evening in Moloney Arena. The Saints picked up wins in two of the matches on the night.
 
Brandon Oshiro and Darick Lapaglia were narrowly edged out on points as Lindenwood won the first four matches. Greg Hegarty got the Saints on the scoreboard with a 5-3 win at 157. Zeb Wahle, who is ranked No. 8 at 174 pounds, recorded a major decision by a 13-1 count to pull the Saints closer in the team scores. Maryville's Donnell Walker brought his No. 5 ranking into a meeting with the No. 7 heavyweight in Lindenwood's Steven Butler, but the visitor escaped with a 4-0 win.
 
The Saints are next in action Sunday, Feb. 16, when they host the Dr. Lombardi / Maryville Duels starting at Noon in Moloney Arena. The day will feature six teams participating in three dual meets.
