The Maryville men's tennis squad narrowly posted a 4-3 triumph at Southern Indiana Tuesday in Evansville, Ind., in a non-conference match. The Saints have won three straight matches and improved to 5-4Â on the season.
The Saints rallied to grab the doubles point by winning the No. 1 and No. 3 contests. Jack Beutell-Triggs and Juan Segura notched a 6-1 decision at the top doubles slot, while Bodin Aleksic and Louis Glaves combined for a 6-4 win at the third position.
In singles contests, Glaves garnered the point at No. 1 with a 6-2, 6-3 win, and Beuttell-Triggs rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at the second position. Aleksic worked for a 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 won at No. 4 for the decisive point to clinch the team win.
