McKendree boxscore in PDF

McKendree moved past the Maryville women's lacrosse team Wednesday afternoon in GLIAC play with a 25-3 decision at Maryville Field.
 
The Bearcats put the first two goals on the board before Lexi Taylor scored for the Saints. McKendree built its lead to 6-1 at the 11 minute mark. Addison Devers collected a pass from Haley Downs and fired in a goal to cut the margin to 6-2. Downs found the back of the net to bring Maryville to 10-3 with 8:44 to play in the half.
 
McKendree took a 14-3 lead into halftime and extended the lead. The Saints were unable to put up a score in the second half as the Bearcats pulled away. Devers and Downs both had one goal and one assist in the game. Tabatha Saake made 14 saves in goal for the Saints.
 
The Saints are 1-8 on the season, 0-6 in the GLIAC. McKendree improves to 5-3 overall, 4-1 in the GLIAC. Maryville next is in action Friday, March 29, as they play at Davenport in another league game.
