After dropping all three doubles matches, the Maryville men's tennis team answered by sweeping all the singles matches to defeat Quincy 6-1 Friday at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.

Two of the doubles matches were tight affairs but the Hawks prevailed to take a 1-0 lead. The Saints stormed to the win in singles play and did not lose a set.
Louis Glaves posted a 6-3, 6-1 win at the top singles slot, while
Jack Beuttell-Triggs notched a triumph by identical 6-2, 6-2 scores at No. 2.
Juan Segura won by a 6-2, 6-3 score line in the third singles match, and
Bodin Aleksic took a 6-3, 6-2 decision at No. 4.
Fernando De Andres Orea cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the fifth singles match, and
Donovan McKnight claimed a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 6.

The Saints even their overall record at 6-6 and are 1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Quincy stands at 6-9 overall, 1-2 in the league. Maryville plays its final home match of the season Saturday, April 6, versus Truman State at 1 p.m. back in Forest Park.
