The Maryville women's tennis team took down Truman State 7-0 Saturday afternoon in the home finale at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.

At No. 1 doubles,
Nicole Pafundi and
Helena Colvee picked up a 6-2 win.
Georgina Cupper and
Clara Bascunana won every game at No. 2 in a 6-0 victory, and
Thamara Pinto and
Ashley Dowden matched them with a 6-0 win in the third doubles position.

Pafundi won her No. 1 singles match by identical 6-1, 6-1 scores to get the Saints started. Cupper took the first six games en route to a 6-0, 6-4 victory in the second slot. At No. 3 singles, Bascunana posted an identical 6-2, 6-2 win, and Colvee lost just one game as she took her fourth singles contest 6-1, 6-0. Dowden rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the fifth slot, while Pinto did not lose a game either in a 6-0, 6-0 shutout.

The Saints improve to 8-4 and 3-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Truman State slips to 3-10 overall, 0-4 in the GLVC. Maryville is next in action when it plays a midweek match at Lindenwood Tuesday, April 9, starting at 3 p.m.
