The Maryville women's tennis team roared past Purdue Northwest 7-0 in a nonconference match played at Sunset Tennis Center.

The Saints quickly won the doubles point by taking the first two matches. At No. 1 doubles,
Nicole Pafundi and
Clara Bascunana eased to a 6-2 decision.
Ashley Dowden and
Sandra Hinterberger won their contest at No. 2 by the same scoreline.

In singles, Pafundi won her top singles matchup 6-2, 6-3, while Bascunana took the No. 2 match 6-4, 6-3.
Georgina Cupper only dropped one game in each set to win the third singles match 6-1, 6-1, and Hinterberger was victorious 6-0, 6-2 at No 4. Dowden won her No. 5 match 6-1, 6-2, and the Saints won the final singles point via forfeit.

The Saints improve to 5-1 on the season and next play at home when Missouri Baptist visits Tuesday, March 24.
