Evansville, Ind. - The Maryville women's tennis team shutout Southern Indiana 7-0 in non-conference action. The Saints swept the doubles action and only dropped one set in singles play.

Maria Gouveia and
Maria Paula Suarez dominated a No. 3 with a 6-1 win, and
Emily Orlove and
Carolina Velazquez took their No. 1 doubles match 6-4. Georgie Cupper and
Victoria Lisson made it a sweep of doubles with a 7-5 decision at No. 2.

Moving to singles action, Lisson cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5, and Gouveia nearly matched her at No. 6 with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph. Orlove won by identical 6-3 scores at No. 4, while Suarez took her contest at No. 3 by a 6-2, 6-3 scoreline. Velazquez won her contest at No. 2 6-1, 7-5, while Cupper closed out the match with a 4-6, 6-2, 11-9 win at the top singles slot.
