Despite a hat trick from
Jessie Hynes, the Maryville women's lacrosse team lost Sunday evening at McKendree by an 18-6 score. Hynes scored three goals for the third time this season, while
Skyler Jolie added two goals to pace the Saints attack in Lebanon, Ill.

What Happened
The Bearcats jumped ahead early with three goals in the first two minutes of play. McKendree built onto its edge and took a 9-0 lead. Hynes broke through for the initial Maryville score just over 10 minutes into the tilt. McKendree took a 13-1 lead into halftime.

Jolie won the draw control to open the second half, and
Haley Downs fired in the first goal after intermission. The Bearcats scored three straight before the Saints answered with back-to-back tallies. Hynes fired in a score, and Jolie added her first of the night off a feed from
Katie Von Mecklenburg. After a McKendree score, Hynes completed her hat trick with just under 11 minutes to play in the game. Jolie found the back of the net in the final minute to complete the scoring for Maryville.
