St. Louis - The Maryville men's tennis team saw its Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament end in the semifinals with a loss to No. 35 McKendree. The Bearcats, who were a No. 2 seed, downed the Saints 4-0 Saturday at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
 
Mario Aleksic and Sebastian Trigosso won their doubles match in the No. 2 position by a 6-4 count. However, the Bearcats took the other two doubles contests to grab a 1-0 lead heading to singles play. The Saints looked to extend the match but McKendree won matches at the second, third and fourth singles slots to advance to the GLVC finals.
 
The Saints end their season with an overall record of 9-8.
