Quincy, Ill. - The Maryville men's tennis team recorded its first dual match win of the season as the Saints snuck past Quincy 4-3.

Jose Hernandez and
Tom Schmitt took their No. 2 doubles match by a 6-3 count. The Hawks won the other two matches to claim the doubles point.

Mario Aleksic won by scores of 7-6 (6-0) and 6-4 to win at the top singles slot, while
Sebastian Trigosso won at No. 3 by a 6-3, 6-0 scoreline. Hernandez took a marathon third-set 2-6, 7-5, 16-14 to claim the No. 4 singles match.
Yann Frezouls won at No. 6 singles 6-4, 2-6, 10-7.

The Saints head to Springfield, Mo., for their next matches. Maryville squares off versus Newman Sunday, Feb. 19, then takes on host Drury Monday, Feb. 20.
