BRANSON, Mo. –
Lexi Touchette's walk-off single in game one against Minot State helped the Saints to a 1-1 Saturday at the Branson Bash Tournament. The Saints took down the Beavers 3-2 in game one before dropping game two to Lincoln University (Mo.) in eight innings.

Reagan Smith held Minot State quiet through the first three frames before they struck for two in the fourth. Maryville got one back in the bottom of the inning after
Kylie Swinney tripled and came home to score on
Emily Corona's single to center field.
The two teams remained frozen with a 2-1 score after six solid innings from Smith. In total, the junior from Wichita, Kan., posted two earned allowed with seven hits and three strikeouts.
Chayse Ramey took over in the seventh and worked around a one-out walk to hold the score steady.
With their backs against the wall down a run in the final inning, pinch hitters
Mandi Lenon and
Taylor Duff got on base and
Carly Nolde moved them over with a bunt.
Lexi Touchette then stepped up and ripped a two-RBI single to give Maryville a 3-2 game one win over the Beavers.

Now the starter in the second game, Ramey gave up one in the bottom of the first but the Saints responded quickly. Duff singled home a run in the top of the second followed later by an
Erin Sammelmann steal of home plate after a throw down to second base.
Ramey continued to coast through the next few frames, but the Blue Tigers plated a run on an error in the fifth to tie the game. Scoreless sixth and seventh innings pushed the 2-2 game to the eighth.
Starting the frame with runners on second, Maryville advanced the runner to third but was unable to bring her in. Lincoln used a two-out single in the bottom half to take the victory with a 3-2 final.
