Springfield, Ill. – The Maryville men's cross country team finished in 10th place at the 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships in Springfield, Ill. Dawson McCown paced the Saints over the 8K distance and finished in 34th place overall.
 
McCown clocked a time of 25:40.95, with Calvin Range was second for the Saints in 26:07.25. Justin Brewer was next across the line in 26:51.13, with Sam Gleason right behind at 27:01.43. Jack Hutson was the final points placer for the Saints with a time at 27:10.23. Brian Bessire covered the race in 27:12.29, and Sam Omware completed the course in 28:21.23.
 
Lewis took the team title with 34 points, while Maryville finished with 273 team points. Flyer Evan Horgan broke the tape first overall in 23:23.64.
