EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - The Maryville men's cross country team opened the 2025 season with a second-place finish at the Gabby Reuveni Invitational hosted by WashU at SIUE's cross country course. Maryville posted a team score of 86 points, runner-up to host WashU amongst the six college squads.

Dawson McCown paced the Saints with a 15th-place finish as he covered the 5K distance in 15:56.7.
Taylor Mason was second for Maryville and 27th overall in 16:32.2, while
Sam Gleason also recorded a top-30 finish as he crossed the line in 16:38.9.

Justin Brewer was right behind at 16:40.3, while
Tucker Hinkle was Maryville's final placer in 17:33.1.
Cooper Davidson covered the course in 17:45.3, while
Mason Gegg was in the top seven for the Saints in 17:58.5.

The Saints are next in action Friday, Sept. 19, at the Bradley Intercollegiate meet in Peoria, Ill.
