In a preview of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Meet course, the Maryville men's cross country finished 33rd in a field that saw 12 ranked teams at the Lewis Crossover Meet. Dawson McCown paced the Saints over the 8,000 meters with a time of 26:01.70.
 
Sam Gleason was second for the Saints in 26:19.56, and Taylor Mason was third on the team with a time of 26:33.55. Justin Brewer finished in 26:54.97, while Tucker Hinkle crossed the line in 28:02.32. Mason Gegg closed in 28:43.62, and Cooper Davidson was Maryville's final counting runner at 29:18.81.
 
The Saints finished with 1021 points in the field of 37 teams, which included four ranked squads. No. 6 Colorado Christian took the team title with 106 points out of 37 squads.
 
The Saints next meet is at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Meet at the same course hosted by Lewis Saturday, Oct. 25.
