The Maryville University women's lacrosse team, which advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament last year, officially announced its schedule for the 2025 season. The Saints take on four teams that qualified for the 2024 NCAA Tournament, including all three teams that reached the Midwest Regional.
The Saints begin their season Saturday, Feb. 15, by hosting defending NCAA Division II National Champion University of Tampa in an 11 a.m. start at the Maryville Athletic Complex. An NCAA contest rematch against Regis University looms Sunday, Feb. 23, in a Noon clash. The Saints travel to face NCAA participant Grand Valley State Friday, March 21.
GLVC play starts Sunday, April 6, with a home game versus McKendree. The Saints also host NCAA qualifier Indianapolis Sunday, April 13, for what likely will prove to be a crucial contest in the GLVC standings. The final contest of the regular season is Sunday, April 27, when William Jewell visits on Senior Day. The GLVC Tournament runs May 2 and 4 and will be hosted by the regular-season champion.
The Saints finished with an 18-2 record a year ago and won the 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference regular-season title. Maryville earned its second straight NCAA bid and defeated UIndy for the first NCAA Tournament win in program history. The Saints saw the departure of
Sydney Tiemann, the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division II history, but return All-Americans
