ROMEOVILLE, ILL. – The No. 5 Maryville women's lacrosse team set a program record for scoring as the Saints steamrolled to their 11th straight victory with a dominating 27-3 win at Lewis Friday afternoon.
Chloe Elliott fired in six goals as 12 different players tallied at least one goal.
Helen Bae recorded four goals and two assists to tie for the team lead with six points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints dominated from the opening whistle as Elliott scored 41 seconds into the game.
Natalie Tomljenovic scored a minute later, and
Kylie Pettus fired in back-to-back scores.
Devyn Dimovitz and
Helen Bae found the back of the net 17 seconds apart as the Saints eventually grabbed a 10-0 lead after the first quarter. The Saints outshot the Flyers 15-1 in the opening 15 minutes.

Maryville carried over its play into the second and extended its margin to 15-0. Lewis finally dented the scoreboard in the waning seconds before halftime as the Saints took a 15-1 advantage at the break. The Flyers scored the opening goal of the third before the Saints answered with four straight. Maryville fired in nine goals in the final period en route to their record-breaking output. The Saints surpassed their previous record of 26 goals, reached twice in program history.
