WARSAW, IND. - The Maryville University women's tennis team had to alter its schedule and opened the spring 2026 season with a 6-1 victory at Grace College.

The Saints swept all three doubles matches and only dropped a total of two sets.
Isabella Alvarez and
Maria Mateos swept their No. 1 doubles match, while
Gemma Ricci and
Nazli Saka took their No. 2 double match 6-1. At the third doubles slot,
Grace Brown and
Luana Luersen also were victorious at 6-1.

Grace College won the top singles position but Maryville grabbed all the other points. Saka won in three sets at No. 2, while Ricci cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 decision at No. 3. Mateos shut out her opponent at No. 3, while Luersen rallied for a 3-6, 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 5. In the final singles slot, Brown eased to a 6-0, 6-1 decision.
