ST. LOUIS -Â The Maryville men's tennis team battled Indianapolis but the Greyhounds worked for a narrow 4-3 win Friday afternoon at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.

The Greyhounds grabbed the doubles points for the early 1-0 lead. In singles play,
Diego Alvarez cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4, while
Maksym Chernogorov worked a three-set win with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 decision at No. 5.
Jack Quilty took a straight set 6-2 6-3 win at No. 6 but the Saints were not able to grab the final fourth point of the match.

The Saints take on McKendree Saturday at Dwight Davis in a 2 pm start.
