INDIANAPOLIS - Maryville University junior
Devyn Dimovitz has been voted the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games through April 19, 2026, as announced by the league office Tuesday.
Dimovitz helped the Maryville defense hold two GLVC opponents to only two total goals. Against Quincy, she had four caused turnovers and three ground balls as the Saints limited the Hawks to just two goals, the fewest scored by QU this season. On the offensive end, Dimovitz added two goals with an assist.
Versus Missouri Western, she led the defensive efforts with the first shutout in program history. Dimovitz came up with a career-high six caused turnovers and snared three ground balls against MWSU. The Saints forced a season-best 20 CTs and limited Missouri Western to just five total shots, only three on goal. Dimovitz helped the Saints defense force MWSU into 29 turnovers, the most by a Maryville opponent this season. The defense limited the Griffons to just a .523 clearing percentage, the lowest mark by a Saints foe this year.
Dimovitz and the Saints are next in action Friday, April 24, as they travel to William Jewell in a 1 p.m. start.
