Murphy Named IWLCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week for Second Time This Season

Maryville University junior Paige Murphy attacker was selected as the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division II Offensive Player of the Week for games through May 12, 2026. This is the second time this season she has garnered the national award from the IWLCA.
 
Murphy had an outstanding all-around game in leading the Saints to a 14-7 victory over No. 24 Rockhurst in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. She had six goals and two assists for eight points. In addition, Murphy notched four draw controls, four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
 
During the contest, Murphy went over the 100-goal mark for the season and became the first player in NCAA Division I or Division II history to score at least 100 goals in three seasons. She had 113 goals her freshman season at Emmanuel University and 101 her sophomore year. Murphy has amassed 102 goals this season with the Saints.
 
Maryville is next in action Saturday, May 16, as the Saints head to the University of Indianapolis for the Quarterfinal round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
