Women's Lacrosse Earns Fourth Straight NCAA Tournament Bid; Face Winner of Regis-Rockhurst Game

INDIANAPOLIS - The Maryville women's lacrosse team earned its fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament bid and was selected as a host for a 2026 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional. The Saints earned the No. 2 seed and received a first-round bye. Maryville will host a first-round contest between No. 3 seed Regis and No. 6 seed Rockhurst at the Maryville Athletic Complex, Thursday, May 7, at 3 p.m. The Saints will face the winning team for a second-round game Saturday, May 9, at Noon.
 
The Saints posted a record of 14-4 and reached the finals of the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament before falling to No. 1 seed Indianapolis. UIndy is the top seed in the Midwest Region and hosts No. 4 Grand Valley State and No. 5 Ashland. The two surviving teams will meet for the Midwest Regional title Saturday, May 16, at the home campus of the highest remaining seed.
 
The other regional top seeds are Slippery Rock (Atlantic), Adelphi (East) and Florida Southern (South). The winner of each regional will advance to the national semifinals at Judson Stadium in Rochester, N.Y., Thursday, May 21. The NCAA Division II National Championship game is slated for Saturday, May 23.
