INDIANAPOLIS  – The Maryville women's lacrosse team took a lead into the third quarter of the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship game but saw Indianapolis rally for a 17-12 win to take the crown.
Natalie Tomljenovic and
Helen Bae led the Saints with four goals apiece. Maryville built a 9-7 edge at intermission but UIndy outscored the Saints 6-1 in a decisive third quarter.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Tomljenovic opened the scoring on the first possession of the game but UIndy leveled the score.
Helen Bae sandwiched a pair of goals around another goal by Tomljenovic to stake the Saints to a 4-1 edge. The Greyhounds tallied two straight player-up goals but
Paige Murphy made it 5-3 after the first.
Â
Murphy tallied to build a 6-3 margin but the teams traded scores a 7-5. Bae converted a free-position attempt, and Tomljenovic slotted home a player-up chance to make it 9-5. UIndy scored two goals just before the break to trim Maryville's advantage to 9-7 at halftime.
Â
The Saints had two golden chances but were stopped by splendid saves by UIndy keeper Ava Graham. The Greyhounds then started the third with two straight goals to forge a 9-9 tie. The Saints retook the lead when
Devyn Dimovitz picked up the ball going to her right in traffic and fired in a stunning BTB goal for a 10-9 edge midway through the third. UIndy tied the game and took its first lead of the game at the 3:34 mark. The Greyhounds stretched their advantage to 13-10 to cap a 6-1 run in the frame.
