GREENWOOD, Ind. – Maryville wrestling is represented yet again on the 2026 College Sports Communicator's Men's At-Large Team Academic All-America® team, this time with a pair of Saints landing upon the lists.

Senior Cole Ritter graces the second team while fellow senior Jeremiah Larson slides in on the third team. 

For Ritter, it caps off what has been a historic career. Already the GLVC Scholar Athlete of the Year, GLVC Paragon Award Winner and a four-time NWCA Scholar All-American. A four-year starter for the Maryville men's wrestling team, Ritter claimed the Division II 174-lb national title in 2025 and earned All-America honors thrice. He secured All-GLVC honors four times while helping the Saints to a GLVC title in 2024 and ninth-place finish at DII Nationals in 2025. The Adrian, Mo., product completed his career with a 108-44 record, highlighted by his 35-7 campaign in 2025 that included 21 victories with bonus points. Ritter also served as team captain for two years.

Larson adds on with his third-team nod for his first Academic All-American honor. Wrestling at 197 lbs, Larson won the Super Region IV tournament, punching his ticket back to Nationals where he placed eighth, earning All-American honors for the first time in his career. The Academic All-American honor add onto him being a four-time NWCA Scholar All-American. 

The CSC Academic All-American program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. To qualify, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
