Biography

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
2016-17: Jaret, a three year starter at 125lbs, finished his Junior season as a two-time National Qualifier. He missed some mat time because of injuries after getting the Ironman Award his Sophomore year for not missing any competitions. He rebounded with another outstanding performance at the NCAA Super Region III Tournament to qualify for the National Tournament. He placed second at the Kaufman/Brand Tournament, second at the Wisconsin Open and fourth at the Super Regional. He had a big win in the dual with McKendree in the last match of the dual to lead the team to a dual meet victory. He was selected to the NWCA All-Academic Team for his performance in the classroom and on the mat. He received the team’s Rebounding Power Award, Dr. Mark Lombardi Saint Award and captured the Wrestler of the Week Award three times and OOOSSS Award once. He was selected the team’s Outstanding Junior and is poised to have an outstanding Senior year.

2015-16: His hard work and commitment as the team’s leadoff man for the last two years paid off with an outstanding performance at the NCAA Super Regional III Tournament where he went 4-1. This third place finish qualified him for the National Tournament and helped the team win its second consecutive Regional Championship. He won the Iron Man Award for competing in every competition during the season and finished with 16 wins on the season. He placed Sixth at the Kaufman/Brand and Third at the Wisconsin Open. He had two wins at the NWCA National Duals to help the team to a Fourth place finish. He also had wins in the McKendree and Lindenwood Duals to lead the team to dual wins and finished 6-5 in dual meet competition. He captured the team’s Wrestler of the Week seven times and the OOOSSS Award five times.

2014-15: Redshirt freshman who started for the Wrestling Saints this season. Finished 27-15 on the season and was 6-6 in duals. His victory in Notre Dame match at National Duals was big in the Saint’s 16-15 win in the championship match. Placed second at Kaufman/ Brand Open. Won the William Penn open. Finished second at Missouri Valley. Went 2-2 at Super Regionals Had five falls and major decisions on the season. Singh is poised for a leading role in the Saint lineup after an impressive showing this season. Captured the team’s Wrestler of the Week nine times and OOOSSS Award four times.

2013-14: Redshirted; A top freshman recruit who had a tremendous high school career at Kearney High School (Kearney, MO), he has all the tools to have an outstanding career at Maryville on and off the mat, he can help our team reach the highest level, finished 14-6 wrestling unattached in open tournaments, was 4th at the Lindenwood Open, 2nd at the Kaufman/Brand, 3rd at Wm. Penn, selected Wrestler of the Week 3 times, OOOSSS Award Winner 2 times, received the Outstanding Redshirt Award.

High School: One of Missouri’s Highly-touted high school wrestlers Helped Maryville’s recruiting class to number 3 ranking for Non-Division 1 schools; by USA wrestling magazine. Ranked 5th in the nation for 113 pound weight class by Flo Wrestling, and Intermat Wrestling. Selected as a 2013 USA wrestling Dream Team Member. 3x state champion, and 4x place winner at Missouri Class 3 State Tournament. 4x place winner and champion at the Kansas City Classic. Placed
4th at the Walsh Jesuit Ironman Tournament in Ohio. Selected for the All-Tournament team at The Clash in Minnesota. Kearney High School Athlete of the Year as Senior. Helped his team win Back-To-Back state titles. All time wins leader at Kearney High School with 194 wins.
