Took fifth on the team at the Fort Hays State Open in 27:33.3.
Was team’s third runner at the GLVC Championships by clocking 26:24.79.
At the NCAA Regionals, finished second for the team in 34:09.9 in the 10K.
Academic All-GLVC selection.
2016: Was second on the team at the WU Early Bird Meet … finished 17th overall at the Six Flags Open … at the Great Louisville Classic, took sixth place on the squad … team’s fourth finisher at the Principia Cowbell Classic in 28:16.0 … at the GLVC Championships, was ninth for the Saints … second on the team at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a time of 35:01.25 … Academic All-GLVC selection.
High School: Elam specializes in the middle distances and was a state qualifier on the 4x400m and 4x800m relays as a senior. He has personal bests of 1:58 for 800 meters and has recorded a 4:46 for 1600 meters.
