ACCOMPLISHMENTS
2016-17: Dakota was a Senior Captain and three-year starter at 133lbs. He finished his senior season with 61 career wins, which put him in the Top Ten Career Win List for Maryville University. He finished as a two-time National Qualifier and a two-time All-American finishing fourth and fifth at the National Tournament. He captured GLVC First Team All-Conference Honors going 6-0 in GLVC duals this season. He had big wins against McKendree and the University of Indianapolis to lead the team to GLVC dual meet victories. He finished the season with a 9-4 dual record. He finished second at the Doane Open. He was selected the Wrestler of the Week four times and the OOOSSS Award winner four times. He finished the season with a 16-10 record.

2015-16: Capped off another season with a great finish at the National Tournament with his second All-American honor, a Fifth place finish. Battled his way to the finals of the Super Regional Tournament for the second time, helping the team to a second consecutive Super Regional Championship. Finished Fourth at the Kaufman/Brand. He went 4-1 and finished third at the Midwest Classic which helped the team win the
Midwest Classic for the second consecutive time. He went 3-1 at the National Duals to help the team to a Fourth place finish. He had his first 20 win season finishing with a 20-11 record and a 5-3 dual meet record. He earned the team’s Wrestler of the Week six times and the OOOSSS Award winner four times.

2014-15: Transfer from Iowa State at semester. Made immediate impact for the Maryville Wrestling Saints Program. Fought to a fourth place finish at Nationals to earn All-American honors in his first NCAA Tournament appearance. Really picked up at the Super Regional Tournament by placing second. Went 3-2 at Nationals to place fourth. Lost third place to Ouachita Baptist Nate Rodriguez in Super Regional final knocked off the second and third seeds to reach finals. Finished the season 14-12 (1-6 in duals) Placed sixth at Missouri Valley Invitational going 4-2. Had a runner up finish at Missouri Valley Open. Named Maryville’s Wrestler of the Week five times. Earned teams OOOSSS award three times.

Prior to Maryville: Wrestled at 133 pounds for Iowa State, ranked as high as 18th in NCAA Division I. Redshirted his first year at Iowa State.

High School: Was a two-time Iowa High School State
Champion. Won the State Championship at 112 lbs his freshman year and at 132 lbs his senior year, placed seventh as a sophomore and state runner-up as a junior. Compiled a career record of 182-11. A four-time conference champion selected as a USA Wrestling High School All-American in 2012.
