ACCOMPLISHMENTS
2019-20:
Christopher always gives everything he has in everything he does. He leads by Example. He brings that "Passion" to the Dojo every day. He finished his RS-Sophomore campaign with a 7-6 record. Finished 4th at the Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open and earned the Wrestler of the Week and OOOSSS Award honors one time. Christopher earned the Dr. Lombardi Saint Award (3x), the RS-Sophomore Scholar Award (3.702 GPA), the NWCA Scholar All-American Award for the second time, the Varsity Letter Award, the Staying Power Award, was selected for the Div. II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award, and was elected to the Geico GLVC Team Academic All-Conference for the third time. We are sure glad "Fireman" is on our side.

2018-19: Christopher Viehmann, nicknamed the “Fireman”, has been a “Positive Force” to have in the Maryville Wrestling Dojo. Christopher’s work ethic is a daily inspiration to those around him. A leader by example, he brings his best in everything he does. Christopher’s boundless limits for self-improvement helped him garner NWCA Scholar All-American honors. In addition, Christopher also earned the Redshirt Freshman Scholar Award, the Jim “Bongo” Bayly Iron Discipline Warrior Award, and his second Dr. Lombardi Saint Award. Christopher will continue to be a valuable part of the team throughout his Maryville Wrestling career. Bringing his best each day, Christopher leads by example in our Dojo and in the classroom.

2017-18: Christopher has been a welcome addition to our Team. His Work Power and Commitment to improve has earned the respect of his teammates. He competed in 5 opens this season wrestling unattached. He placed 6th at the Pat “Flash” Flanagan Open for his first award stand performance. Christopher has continued to improve throughout the season wrestling at 157 pounds. Christopher is a standout in the classroom and wins the Redshirt Scholar Award and the Dr. Lombardi Saint Award. He is an Academic Dean’s List Student. Christopher picks up the Jim “Bongo” Bayly Iron Discipline Award and the GRIT Award this season. He was named the Wrestler of the Week once for his placement at the Pat “Flash” Open.

Christopher is a 2x State Qualifier and won the 2017 Jim Amos Award. He was recognized as
the Most Improved Award in 2016 and the Positive Peer Influence in 2014. Christopher had a 4.33 GPA Senior Year.
