ACCOMPLISHMENTS
2019-20: Connor is someone we can always count on and whatever he does he does it well. We are sure glad he is on our side. He finished his junior campaign with a 13-15 record, and a 2-3 dual record. Finished 5th at the MO Valley Open and 7th at the Greyhound Open. Connor earned the Wrestler of the Week and OOOSSS Award honors four times. Connor earned the Most Improved Award, the Bongo Ultimate Utility Award, and was a Varsity Letter Award winner (3x). Connor is a "Positive Force" for us and a "Leader by Example".

2018-19: Connor is one of the most improved wrestlers on our team. His season is highlighted by his three tournament finishes and his first varsity dual action where he picked up a dual win. To open the season, the “Hawaiian Hitman” placed 5th at the Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open. He followed up that performance with a 5th place finish at the Pat “Flash” Flanagan Open and completed the year at the Greyhound Open with an 8th place finish. Connor is one of the best technical wrestlers on the team. He gives his best effort every time he steps on the mat. For these efforts, Connor was named Most Improved for the 2018-2019 season. Connor won the Wrestler of the Week and OOOSSS Award three times during the season. He wins his second Varsity Letter Award and the Jim “Bongo” Bayly Iron Discipline Warrior Award. Connor’s work power, commitment, and discipline has paid off with his best year on the mat and in the classroom.

2017-18: Connor has Dedicated and Committed himself to having success on the mat and in the classroom. It has paid off for him and it will continue to payoff for him. He a redshirt freshman that continued to show improvement during the season. Connor competed in all the open tournaments and recorded 7 wins on the season. He was 5th at the Maryville Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open. At the Doane Open in Crete, NE Connor recorded 2 wins with a major decision 13-1 over Vand der Torre of Hastings and a 11-8 decision over Jaramillo of St. Mary. With a strong off season, Connor will compete for the starting spot at 165 pounds in 2018-19. Connor will receive his 1st Varsity Letter Award. He is being recognized with the Jim “Bongo” Bayly Iron Discipline Award and the GRIT Award. He was selected Wrestler of the Week once during the season.

2016-17: Connor competed in five opens this season wrestling unattached. He opened the season at Kaufman/Brand Open where he went 2-2. Connor won his first match of his career with a tech-fall over Josh Culp of Hannibal-LaGrange 23-8. Connor also picked up a pin over Isaiah Gutierrez of Missouri Valley in just 34 seconds, which was one of the fastest pins of the season for the wrestling Saints. Connor has improved tremendously and will continue to improve with more mat time. Villarmia also should add depth for the Saints at 165 pounds in 2017-18.

HIGH SCHOOL
Connor was a 2x High School State Champion and 4x High School State Qualifier. Connor was also a 4x ILH (State Qualifier) Place Finisher (5th, 4th, 2nd and 1st), 2x Freak Show Wrestling Tournament Place Finisher (4th and 5th) and 2015 Fargo Nationals Qualifier in Freestyle.
