2013: Clocked a 19:55 at the Saint Louis University meet … covered the 8K distance of the GLVC Championship meet in 26:31 … finished third overall at the Maryville Open in 27:02 … posted a 34:24 at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet.
 
2012: Finished second on the team by one second at the WU Early Bird Meet in 20:09 … second overall at the Maryville Classic in 17:46.2 … was 37th overall at Richard Clark meet in 27:16 … was top placer at the Roy Griak meet in 26:53 … third for the team at the UWP Rosa Invitational … led the team at the GLVC Championship meet in 26:19.6.
 
High School: Was one of the top runners in Virginia at Skyline High School in Front Royal, Va. He earned All-District, All-Region and All-State selections in cross country his senior year. Jones is a two-time indoor state qualifier in the 3,200-meter run. He was selected as a team captain for his cross country and track teams in in 2011-12. Jones holds personal bests of 9:51 in the 3,200 and 15:52 in the 5K.
