Kevin Gregory

Kevin Gregory

Kevin Gregory enters his eighth year with the Saints, and his seventh on the coaching side of the ice. Gregory was a member of the first Maryville University men’s hockey team in 2018, serving as one of the program’s founding players and captains. After his playing career, he remained at Maryville, earning his MBA while beginning his coaching career with the Saints.

Gregory took over Maryville’s ACHA Men’s Division II program in 2019 before joining John Hogan’s staff as an assistant coach in 2020. Since then, he has been an integral part of nearly every step in the growth and evolution of Maryville Hockey, from its ACHA success and continued program expansion to the launch of NCAA Division I men’s hockey.

Now serving as General Manager and Assistant Coach, Gregory plays a leading role in recruiting, talent evaluation, roster construction and the day-to-day development of the program. His impact, however, extends well beyond the ice.

“Maryville Hockey isn’t what it is today, and we don’t have this opportunity, without Kevin Gregory,” Hogan said. “The way we care, the way we coach and the way we focus on developing the entire person is a direct reflection of who Kevin is. He makes the people around him better, and he has an underappreciated eye for the game. His ability to evaluate talent, combined with the way he genuinely cares about the person before the player, is exactly why he has earned the opportunity to serve as our general manager while continuing to coach and impact our entire program.”

From helping establish Maryville Hockey as a student-athlete to helping lead it into the NCAA Division I era, Gregory has become one of the program’s most consistent and influential figures.

“Not many people bleed Maryville red like Kevin Gregory,” Hogan added.
