Born and raised in Fort St. James, British Columbia, Carla Goodwin joins the inaugrual women’s coaching staff after playing at in town rival Lindenwood University. Goodwin played and atteneded the renowned Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy before receiving a scholarship to play NCAA D1 hockey at Lindenwood – where she graduated with a bachelor’s in Therapeutic recreation. While coaching, Goodwin will be completing her Master’s in Strategic Communication and Leadership at Maryville.
Coaching Outlook and Philosophy: “I am excited to be a part of Maryville University’s first year and look forward to helping establish a foundation and culture of success for student athletes on and off the ice. I want to support players in their development as student athletes and guide them on their journey to fulfilling their full potential. As a recent division 1 graduate, I want to share my experiences and be a resource to the players bridging the gap and providing perspective between the athletes and coaching staff.”
