Lindsay Smith began her first season as an assistant coach for the Saints men's and women's tennis teams in the fall of 2017.

An Oklahoma native, Smith has spent her tennis career in San Antonio, Texas, as well as here in St. Louis.  She played varsity tennis for Trinity University in San Antonio where she was a four-time All-American, 2000 National Champion, team captain and selected for Trinity’s Athletic Hall of Fame.  After graduation, Smith taught clinics and lessons to all levels and age groups at San Antonio Country Club. 
 
Smith began expanding her career and interests upon coming to work at St. Louis Country Club where she spent eight years.  She became interested in cardio tennis and performed research on the science of tennis, including the biomechanics of different strokes, sport specific training, dynamic warm ups, and the modern way to train juniors.
 
Smith obtained a Masters in Sports Science and Rehabilitation from Logan University completing courses in Lower/Upper Extremity Rehab, Nutrition, and Psychology of Athletes and maintains a USPTA P-1 Certification.   She works with all levels and ages of juniors and adults. Smith has run the conditioning program for Sunset’s High Performance junior program in addition to assisting in adult interclub and developing/running a variety of junior and adult programs.
