Neely Regan begins her first season as an assistant coach for the Maryville women’s lacrosse team, beginning with the 2019-20 academic year. She comes to the Saints after graduating from Saint Leo University.
Regan was a four-year defensive standout for the Lions and appeared in 54 games. She scored 10 goals and had an assist over her career. Regan caused 33 turnovers and scooped 53 ground balls on the Saint Leo defensive back line. A native of Glenshaw, Pa., she won three varsity letters at Shaler Area High School.
As a senior, Regan was a compliance assistant for the Saint Leo Compliance office. She aided the assistant compliance director and worked on the administrative ARMS Software and on the SLU work flows with the NCAA. Regan served as an intern and a coach for the True Lacrosse Pittsburgh lacrosse club. She taught children aged eight to 18 on the basic rules and regulations for the game of women’s lacrosse. Regan worked an apprenticeship with the Saint Leo men’s lacrosse team and assisted the squad in creating opponent scouting reports and assisting on the database in collecting recruiting videos.
