Over the past 16 years Tommie Dabney had the pleasure of working with outstanding athletes. He started coaching after competing at Lincoln University (MO) under Victor Thomas “Poppy” as assistant from 2003-05 and won two National Championship. During his time as Graduate Assistant and assistant at LU he had the pleasure of producing 13 All American men and 19 All American women. Being mentored by Victor Thomas “Poppy” and Vincent Bingham has taught him a great deal on how to be the best coach he can possibly be.
Working at McCluer South Berkeley High School over 14+ years, Dabney had the pleasure of being part of eight Missouri state track & field championship title (Girls 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 & Boys 2008, 2015). Also, he has been part of five second place Missouri state track & field championship title (Girls 2006, 2014, 2015 & Boys 2008, 2015). Lastly, two fourth Place Missouri state track & field championship titles (2014 & 2017). Has been coach of the year three times (2011, 2015 & 2017). Also has been inducted into the Missouri Hall of Fame (2018). He had the pleasure to coach multiple Missouri All State athletes (Boys & Girls).
