ACCOMPLISHMENTS
2020-21(COVID Shortened Season): Evan had to deal with some adversity this season, he was injured in his first match of the year, and was unable to compete the rest of the season. He remained focus and did all he could to help maintain “Team Power”. Evan has the “Right Stuff” to be one of our top wrestlers and have success in DII Wrestling. “Mt. Evans” will just need to get more matches and experience to become one of our top wrestlers and leaders. He is a "Positive Force" on our team and “The Best Is Yet To Come” for him.

2019-20: Evan had an Outstanding first year. He never started wrestling until his freshman year in High School. The improvement he had made and will continue to make is significant. He finished his redshirt campaign with a 22-8 record. Finished 2nd at the Kaufman/ Brand/Bayly Open, 2nd at the LU Open, 5th at the Jim Koch Open, 5th at the NUWAY Open, and 3rd at the Greyhound Open. Evan earned Wrestler of the Week and OOOSSS Award honors five times. Evan issued the most falls on the team (13) and was a 20-match winner (22). He earned the Outstanding Redshirt Award. Evan on and off the mat makes our Dojo a "Better Place".

HIGH SCHOOL
The Maryville Wrestling Team would like to welcome freshman, Evan Brooks, from Rockwood Summit High School in St Louis, Mo. “Evan had an outstanding career at Rockwood Summit High School in Wrestling and Football. He never started wrestling until his freshman year. To see the improvement he made during his High School career is remarkable. The ’Best is Yet to Come’ for him. We think Evan is a great fit for our Wrestling Program and for Maryville University. We feel like he can have great success on the mat and in the classroom. We welcome Evan to our Wrestling Program. We are pleased to have him and his family join our Maryville Wrestling Family.”
