At Maryville University: Record: 90-33, Three letters
2014-15: Put together a spectacular junior season, finishing national runner-up losing a heartbreaking 4-3 decision to Ouachita Baptist DalÂlas Smith in the final. Two-time All-American looking to end his career with a National Championship. Finished 34-8 (8-3 in duals). Had five falls and tech falls during the season. Went 3-1 at National Duals. Helped the Saints win the Midwest Classic by going 5-0 and winning the championship. Also won William Penn Open. Was runner up at Maryville’s Kaufman/Brand Open. Finished third at University of CenÂtral Missouri, Lindenwood and the Super Region Tournament. Named Maryville Wrestler of the Week 11 times during the season. Was teams OOOSSS Award winner six times throughout the year. Enters his final campaign with a 90-33 career record.
2013-2014: Has developed into one of the top Division II 184
pounders in the Nation and one of the top leaders on our team, he
leads by example on and off the mat, wrestled a tremendous National
Tournament becoming an All-American finishing 4th, had an outstanding
year, finished with a 34-12 record, 8-3 in duals, was 3rd at the UCM
Open, won the Kaufman/Brand, 7th at the Midwest Classic, 2nd at
Wm. Penn, won the Missouri Valley Invitational going 4-0, was 3-0 at
the Lombardi Duals, 2nd at the Super Region II Tournament qualifying
for the National Tournament, selected Wrestler of the Week 11 times,
OOOSSS Award Winner 9 times, selected Most Improved, Outstanding
Sophomore, had the Most Major Decisions and Technical Falls with
8, 30 Match Award Winner with 34 wins, received the Iron Discipline
Award and selected as one of the Outstanding Wrestlers on the team.
2012-2013 Season: Had on outstanding freshman season…went 22-13 (1-1 duals)…slowed by injury during middle of season but made it back by NCAA Regionals going 2-2…captured Missouri Valley Invitational Title at 174lbs going 5-0 and helped Saints win their first ever tournament team championship…placed fifth at Kaufman-Brad Open going 4-2…had sixth place finish at Lindenwood Open…won a 7-2 decision in University of Indianapolis Dual…racked up many honors in 2012-2013 season…named Maryville Wrestler of the Week five times…OOOSSS Award winner 3 times…also name team’s most improved wrestler, new comer of the year and team’s outstanding freshman…was 20-match award winner with 22 and was recipient of team’s Rebounding Power Award…also led team with 2 technical falls and 7 major decisions.
